Still far from complete! I honestly don’t know if I will be going back to any of these portraits in progress! If too many days pass I tend to start a new one. I should probably stop buying new canvases and try to finish a couple!

Meanwhile as we find ourselves in this bizarre and frightening timeline with ignorant white supremacist loons and their Russian puppetmasters trying to break democracy, I feel it’s important to clearly state one’s objections to this repulsive and frankly horrific state of affairs.

But, I also think it’s good to remind people that the forces of good are tireless, committed, and winning small victories. So here’s a happy story for this post:  A deported veteran who launched a health clinic for other deported veterans in Tijuana, Mexico, has been granted citizenship in the United States.

Hello and thank you to Paint Party Friday, and of course many thanks for all the nice comments!

Ohhh I think your portrait is BEAUTIFUL!!! I love that you showed WIP too. The colors you used are exciting. Well done indeed. Yes, these are frightening times in the US and the world. All of the things dt has and is doing is what dictators do. We will be hard pressed to get him out of office. May all the small victories make one large movement.

Oh wow, enjoy seeing the stages and so cool that you chose those reverse colors – really dynamic and eye-catching :) !

Cindy, like the purple hair. Reminds me of the bride of Frankenstein or the new Admiral Holdo from Star Wars. Checked out St. Vincent. I get the color scheme. She used a great deal of pastels and intense full color in her videos. Cool music.

    I like number 5 too!
You’ve done good work…I’m trying to draw portrait with pencil right now…oh it’s hard to get eyes etc. in right places :)
It’s good we have HHNHH kind of movements going on. Three (or more) men are playing dangerous game right now and we should really stand up and stop hate and put leaders to talk, not to buy nor sell weapons!
    PEACE!

I love seeing how you work. Very interesting. I love the 4th progress-picture, the colors are amazing. I hope the title of this post doesn’t mean that you won’t be doing acrylic portraits anymore!?
You’re very right about the state of the world, but I feel hopeful with the youth standing up and realizing their power. I need to believe that in the end justice will prevail. Can’t wait for the moment I will see him and his bunch of crooks go down…. That will be a happy day, for the US and for the world.

Oh I really love this, both before the green and after. I do hope it doesn’t get abandoned in favor of starting another, although I tend to do the same thing!
