Acrylic Portrait Progress, Purple and Fuchsia

Colors! Some of my favorites in fact. I wouldn’t call this done, but the most recent layer of purple/fuchsia using Golden’s acrylic glazing liquid (satin), created a pretty neat effect! And while the photo reference is a pale white woman, it is honestly my intention to expand to all colors and sizes and ages (even if some of those are not realistic).

Lots of progress pics! I am glad visitors seem to like them. I always like to see them on other art blogs! But it can be more time consuming than I would like.

Oh yes, playing with colours is so much fun! And I’m always amazed by how different something can look with just the use of another colour. Great work!

I love how you unearth this face out of the paint! Fascinating the process and colour! Gorgeous so far!

It’s rather riveting and amazing to watch how the layers of colors evolve. Your portraits are very, very cool. So I bought a few acrylics and canvases and pushed a few colors around with a brush. I can’t work your kind of magic, but it was fun. :D
