Etsy Batch One, May 2011

Update, November 13, 2011

This seems like such a long time ago!  These are the first beasts I had printed for my new Etsy shop. All are hand drawn in black ink, mainly Micron pens, and the color was added digitally. I have since moved on to Copic Markers and far less digital coloring.  Now that I’m an old hat at this blogging business (not really, but more than I was six months ago), it is clear this should have  been a post rather than a page.  Alas!  I can’t decide what to do with it so I’m going to leave it with this note. :)

Still enamored with her flowing hair, Kico Pico has found the perfect planetary sunset spot.

I am embarrassed to report I do not know the names of these two elusive creatures. However, I was able to snap a quick shot one day while they were doing that rapturous staring thing they do.

Juvenile delinquents, all of them! No, not really. Although they do quite a lot of head-butting. You know, when they're not dozing off.

Penny has yet to get this bird to tell her his name. However, the bird did begin to talk recently. A banana bread recipe that he wishes Penny would get on with, and a riddle about a shoelace and a hare. None of us can remember how it goes, sadly.

It's too bad I couldn't fit their feet in this shot, as all three were rug-hooking like fiends. Dozing off only cuts their productivity by about forty percent, but just as I snapped this Grapeseed was startled awake by a passing trolley.

ohgoodgolly you are cork-poppingly talented! I’ve just discovered your blog and etsy shop, and I’m so ecstatic I’ve featured you on my tiny, humble, probably-never-read-but-fun-to-write-anyway blog. Honestly and truly your work is brilliant and your blog is a pleasure to read. Many thanks for sharing your work-in-progress posts and tips…very helpful and much appreciated.
I should mention that I use ellipses with reckless abandon…be prepared for dots run amok. ;)
