Elemental Maidens for the Elementals swap at illustratedatcs.com. Haven’t quite worked out “Earth” yet. Tree Nymph or Rock Golem? Mix of the two? Hm.
That makes eight maidens complete for the 100 Maidens Project. Not quite impressive yet, but working on it. The excellent artist Richard Ewing at Visual Cogitations has recently suggested I add bodies to these maidens. To which I say, “One step at a time, sir!” (Check again about number 40.)
And next, a pair of red foxes, made by request for trades. I think I can do better and I expect to, because foxes are seriously popular and more have been requested! The smaller fellow is Sydney, a rare non-mischievous fox. While the other foxes steal things, Sydney naps. But then he will sing to them for a share of the loot.
Chelsea is the second fox. She was raised with cats and thinks she is a cat. Except that whole tree climbing thing. And dang, has she tried! (She climbs trees better than other foxes, at any rate.) Reference photo.
Thanks for visiting! I hope you aren’t sick of the tiny art cards yet!

I like your elemental maiden idea! Red Fox One is my favorite and his bubbly background rocks!
Oh my…..beautiful as usual Cindy! The foxes have an intense expression…..they are incredibly smart. We have them come up on the porch and steal cat food!
Love your elemental maidens! I think water is my favorite one but fire is a close second!
I like the tonal quality of the maidens & the shading in the foxes. Especially the 2nd one. You’ve achieved great dimension there!
I really enjoy visiting to see what you are up to. I’m voting for Red Fox #2. My daughter draws constantly and will love following your maiden project–very cool!
Love the hair designs for your maidens! And your foxes are foxy but very cute at the same time:) Great!
I will never… NEVER be sick of the tiny cards. I am so in love with the way you express yourself in your art. I love reading the commentary, too! Keep doing what you’re doing and keep showing us. Fun!!!
You’re too kind. Thank you. ;)
you have a very unique style that’s just your own. I like it! I like your vibrant colors too!

I love how you have transferred your style to your maidens. My favourite is fire with all that red and orange on her face.
Sydney does look a bit serious and devious as well! You get so much character into your animals. Superb!
Oh my… you’ve been very productive lately! I love, love those maidens! Perfect colour matches – simply superb.
Thanks for your ever so enthusiastic comments on my blog, I love them. (just to make things clear on your last comment: the instructor of the course is… ME! yay!)
