Fanciful Pencil Beasts!

Horace and Friends 9" x 12" pencil

Horace and Friends, 9″ x 12″ pencil

Lots of drawing in pencil continues! All 9″ x 12″ as I work through some Bristol board drawing pads. These are I think the better ones, each done in an evening or sometimes two. (I post more frequently on my Facebook page .)

I do have a new painting started though I have yet to work out a consistent painting schedule. Do I need a schedule? It seems like maybe I do. Thanks so much for dropping by!

I just love your fantasy creatures! You always amaze me with the things you come up with! They all have such a sweetness over them ..

Cindy, great sketches. As always, you have a great talent for decorative textures. I like the Horace and Friends sketch. The creatures all look like beasts that would be at home in the movies Labyrinth or Dark Crystal.

Horace & friends are very different but still have your amazing way & talent to use so much detail!! Wish I could suggest a time frame for “Painting”- you’ll need some painters to give you those kind of suggestions. Maybe there isn’t nessarily a time frame but rather when you feel it is finished!! They are ALL delightful! But, Horace and his pent house tenants really steal my attention.

You would have the most amazing colouring book with all your characters before you colour them in…win/win!! Love them all…so fun and whimsical… very unique!!

I do like your fantastical creatures, each has its very own personality.
Wulfrid looks as if he has had his face painted and is not very sure about it and Dulcibelle looks a very sweet contented unicorn.

Wow- these are amazing. You have the imaginary critters down. You are obviously more talented than me, for sure. My paintings are a beginners try. Thanks for stopping by my blog!
