Despite being raised with six brothers, Georgie was always the one their father came to for help with the family tractor. No one was surprised when she went on to found her own airship engineering company. Reference photo.
Made for a steampunk swap at illustratedatcs.com. I am very pleased with the style of this one. On the one hand it’s a rather typical “pretty girl” image. But I think she has some charm and personality. And I’m sure my 100 Maidens Project made a difference. I recommend these projects – repeated practice with a particular subject.
Nikolas wasn’t always a Christmas cat. At ten months old he ate some tinsel and that soured him on the whole subject for several years. But then he found his person – a woman named Lizzie living firmly in the spirit of Christmas six months of the year – so Nikolas gave it another shot. It was much better the second time. Made for a trade at illustratedatcs.com.
It’s very odd the number of cats and sheep I have been doing! I am a dog person. But I’ve gotten the most trade requests for cats and sheep, so I’ve gotten a bit quicker at them. But it’s still several hours each. Or more.
I’m going to try my hand at glass tile pendants with prints of my images, and these two are on the list. We’ll see how it goes! Thanks for dropping in!
Don’t mess with Georgie:-) Love the way you did her hair. And Nikolas (sour as he may have been) is making me look forward to more of your Xmas creations!
I like her style. As for the cat, what can I say? He’s gorgeous!!!
Georgia and Nickolas should find each other-both independent and beautifully rendered!
Yes!! I agree, she seriously has a personality of her own. I noticed it right away. Wonderful work you’re doing, Cindy! Bravo!!
Love Nickolas! The bright yellow on lime w red accent really makes him glow. Glass tile pendants sounds interesting…..can’t wait to see some of those. Will they be offered on Etsy?
Thanks so much for all the nice comments? Will the pendants be offered on Etsy? Of course! If I manage to make them properly. :)
Georgie looks very pretty and brave, kind of like a modern version of Amelia Earhart, I like that :)
Nikolas eyes are mesmerizing!
I agree with Ana, Geordie does look like a modern version of Amelia. You do steampunk so well. Nikolas still looks a little sour, let’s hope he finds this Christmas even better. Both super as always!
I am still not recieiving any update emails, so will try subscribing again. I have now bookmarked your blog and joined your flikr pages. Not that I’m stalking you (lol) I just like to keep up with your latest pieces, as they invariably make me chuckle and are alwasy a treat to see.

Very cool cats, both of them! I love that Georgie knows her way around a set of tools. :)
